A first winter White Crowned Sparrow was eating the seeds from the Big Blue Stem,
a Male White Throated Sparrow was singing on the ground 10 feet away,
and the birdbath was busy with some first winter White Crowned Sparrows.
Everyone was busy taking care of their own business,
but someone always has to jump in and distrub the quite...
This White Throated Sparrow had been busy singing away in the garden, but decided that
the birdbath was now his terrority and every one was forced out.
But you know how the saying goes, 'what goes around comes around'.
Well this Warbler decided that it wanted a bath too and to bad for the White Throated Sparrow,
neither one was leaving. So they bathed together while keeping an eye on each other. And me, I was taking their picture the whole time.
The backyard has been very busy with migrant birds travelling through and the winter birds arriving. The Juncoes have arrived and were checking out the area to see what had changed since spring.
I am joining Watery Wednesday today.
Thank you for the visit and have a wonderful day.

I could sit and watch and listen to the birds all day! Love your photos of them. I'm still waiting for it to cool off so I can get outside and enjoy them.

Oh My! These photos are exquisite. I adore the one with the two birds bathing together. I don't have a lens long enough to capture birds very well. Maybe someday! ♥
Incredible close-ups...beautiful!!!
So pretty & so very colorful - wonderful shot!
Gorgeous photos and so great to see these birds!
Fabulous!!!
Oh, how sweet. You have such a great talent with the camera. I really enjoyed these.
I loved the photos of the birds in the birdbath. So cute.
Great bird bath captures for Watery Weds.
I just found your blog through "A new England Life" and it is beautiful. I will explore more. I am a quilter and am coming to Waterloo Ontario to visit my sister next week. We will be visiting quilt shops, particularly one in Guelph! My sister is quilter extraordinaire and belongs to several quilt guilds. I'll think of you when I visit beautiful Ontario.
How cute they are. I love to watch them when they are in the birdbaths splashing water everywhere.
Lovely little birds!
I really enjpyed your pics of the birds having their baths! Wonderful blog!
How amazing, Jen! So much activity all at once and you caught it all to share! Our bird baths have been busy full time, too, although we don't have any of the birds you mention, except the occasional junco. – g
Lovely shots of the activity at your place. Great captures at the birdbath too :)
Hello,
What beautiful pictures awaited me on my first visit to your blog. Your photography is just stunning, but I must admit that I enjoyed the feathery subjects very much.
I look forward to visiting again :-)
these are absolutely so beautiful!!! i'd love to have my own sparrows in a birdbath :) lovely thoughts
I had the mister on for the birds~it's been very dry here and they needed a nice shower! Your images are wonderful. Sometimes we see a bird and think brown, but, these are lovely and richly colored beauties. gail
Wonderful captures of the Sparrows and Warbler! Perfect for Watery Weds. Boy are we having a watery Friday! ;>)
I love to watch the action around the birdbath too. How grateful the birds must be to find their favorite watering-holes filled up during their flight south.
Your photos are gorgeous! I just love birds...they are such happy little creatures! They're so much fun to watch. Thanks for sharing this wonderful post.
