Pink Saturday - A Return

I have not participated in Pink Saturday for such a long time,
my journey has been very stormy.
I have missed visiting the Pink Saturday ladies.
Back in September I received this Pink Gerbera Daisy

as a present, you can read about it here.

It stopped flowering and I put it the bay window and kind of forgot
about it, only watering it when the leaves were wilted.
I thought for sure it would not survive. But to my surprise I noticed
flower buds the other day.

At this time the violets are flowering, but they should be finished in a couple of weeks,
this gerbera daisy will then be taking center stage.
A very welcome player.

I am joining Beverly at How Sweet the Sound.
Stop by and visit the lovely Pink Saturday ladies.

Great to see you back, but we understand why you haven't been around much. There is a song that Jeff and Shari Easter sing that's called Roses Will Bloom again. Maybe this is your sign that things will get better for you too. Very sorry about your bad year, and I truly hope that you have a better 2011.

Hi Jen,
I am so sorry for both of your loses. I am sending you a big hug and wish I could do or say more...
I never knew Gerber Daisy were so tough! What a lovely treat in the middle of winter!
The garden centers are crazy we have two snow storms coming this week... and Pansy and Primroses for sale, a strange year!
Hugs to you!

I like the Gerber Daisy plant a lot. The blooms are so pretty and they come back each year. They are a little pricey, so I only have three or four.

Your Gerber daisies are so pretty, Jen! I'm sorry it has been such a hard time for you and your family but you have a wonderful attitude about it all. Having an attitude of gratitude can make all the difference in the midst of the storms of life. I'm learning these same lessons myself. Thank you for stopping by for Pink Saturday. God bless you and take care.

Hugs,
Sandi

New life, especially at this time of year, and after the time you've had recently, is such a blessing - no matter how it comes. How lovely that you'll get to enjoy the pretty pink blooms once again.

Hello Jen,
I am sorry you have been through such a sad time and I wish you much happiness in this new year. I think your Gerbera Daisy was just taking a little rest before sending up sweet new buds...that color is my favorite to plant with snowy white ones. I am going to try bringing one in next year and see if it will grow for me...
Hugs and smiles,
Jil

Hi Jen
I've always liked gerberas, even as fresh cuts in a bouquet because they do last a long time.
Pretty pink ones that you have.

How wonderful that your daisy is going to bless you with her beauty again, as you are blessing us with yours. Love the black eyed susan's in your header. Wonderful.
Happy PS
