Our celebrations this year are going to be spread out,
we cannot all find a weekend free where the family can gather,
so there will small get togethers throughout the season.
I love to sit by the lighted Christmas Tree with a warm drink, some biscuits and a good book.
A Silent Night Texture was added at Multiply 75%, a mask was applied and some of the texture removed.
I am joining Kim Klassen for Texture Tuesday and
Lisa Gordon for The Creative Exchange.
Enjoy your day!!!

That sounds delightful. I love gazing upon a pretty Christmas tree, too.
o ja ich leibe es auch so romatsich mit Tasse heissen Tee oder Glühwein mit Keksen..
Ich wünsche dir eine schöne 2.Adventwoche!

It seems to get harder and harder to get everyone together...but it sounds fun to have many weekends of gatherings. Our tree is the last thing we put up...sort of a tradition with us...I can't wait!
What a beautiful image! Terrific bokeh, and I really like the texture.
Enjoy all your gatherings - wonderful photo.
I love your photography! What camera/lens do you use? Thanks for visiting my blog - I'm now a follower.
I think smaller get togethers are lovely and it seems to extend the season even more.
This looks so cosy and inviting! I love your composition and the feeling your picture conjures!
Hi Jen
Looks cozy, and I like the way the twinkling lights of the tree turned out.

Beautiful, warm and inviting image!
Your cup looks so inviting and love that texture. I also love sitting by the Christmas tree and have my candles lit. So wonderful to capture those moments of peace and nostalgia. Thanks also for the sweet comment on my blog and hope you have a wonderful holiday!
Lovely texture and photograph. I love Kim's textures, but have yet to take the time and figure out how to use them as beautifully as possible.
Thanks so much for stopping by My Front Porch.
Happy Holidays to you,
Suzanne

Great texture touch. Reminds me to slow down!
Small gatherings are good.
As is your bokeh.
GORGEOUS shot, Jen!!! You are getting sooooo good at this photography stuff. I think a class or two should be one of my New Year's resolutions (no pun intended!)
Are you sewing up a storm? I am! Too busy to post anything until I meet my deadlines, then I'll have lots to share.

oh, that does sound so pleasure-able; lovely texture processing - great bokeh. thanks so much for sharing. karen {visiting from TT}
I love the technique on your picture. I too love sitting under a quilt next to the tree. I'm usually looking at a magazine. What a wonderful time of year!
This is the way our family will gather this year as well, but maybe it will make for better visits. Sometimes it's so busy with anywhere between 16 and 20 relatives here on Christmas day that it's hard to find time to even say hello to everyone. This year each family will be here at a different time and this is the first year our daughter won't be home for Christmas so her presence over New Years will be the highlight of our Christmas season. Enjoy the family gatherings whenever they may be....
Sitting by the Christmas tree with a drink and book after everyone else has gone to bed is one of my favourite Christmas moments every year! Love how you captured this moment!
Your photo is beautiful. I have been disappointed with the results of my attempts with Kim's textures. Need more practice I suppose. Nancy
I love that photo!
