Mosaic Monday - Textures

While visiting Scotland this summer I saw a fantastic art display on the Isle of Harris. The photographer had taken close ups of different tweeds and then went around the island looking for a picture that best portrayed the tweed and the island. Borrowing this idea I went around the house taking pictures of texture and then went through my pictures looking for matches.

In the first row - a black and white wool blanket with a snow scene,
second row - my purple tweed jacket with an aster flower from the garden
and the third row - my brown plaid skirt with a sunrise shot.

The story board template is courtesy of Coffee Shop.
I am joining Mary at Little Red House for Mosaic Monday.

Have a wonderful day and thanks for visiting!!!

Great idea for something a big different. I love Plaids. We were watching a house programme on the TV over the weekend and they had some lovely plaid carpets.
Have a great week, Jackie in Surrey, UK.

Love this idea. You've captured the beauty, pattern and color not to mention the texture of the fabric. I love how you paired with the outdoor snaps. Lovely…..

I do love how you paired those wonderful textures and weaves with natural scenery. The contrast between man-made and nature is interesting, too.

This is a terrific idea, Jen! I love your pairings, especially the first one. It's amazing – and nature was the original inspiration for the tweed patterns, which I love. You've got me dreaming of Scotland again, although I must say winter there is not so appealing! xo
