Mosaic Monday - The Baby Shower

Well it is one month exactly to the expected arrival of my first grandchild.
Babies have their own timetable, but I am hoping early July.
On Saturday my DIL's sister had a baby shower for her.

There was lots to eat, pretty decorations and presents.
Mommy-to-be did not want her picture shown,
said she was not looking her best.
It has been hot here and she is suffering.

I am joining Mary at Little Red House for

Wishing you an enjoyable week.
Take care

The cake and gifts must have lifted your daughter in Law's spirits I think. I hope that in the weeks to come she will relax and enjoy this time. Good books, lots off rest and quiet activities with friends and family will make her feel better. You must be so excited and very busy quilting!

What a fun and exciting time for you! I'm sorry that your daughter-in-law is not feeling so well. It's hard with the heat. Hope that the shower brightened her day!

Ditto here. Our daughter is due June 22. And I went to a baby shower for her friend yesterday. Hope your baby arrives right on time, healthy and happy.

It's hard to be expecting a little one in the heat of summer. I hope the mother-to-be feels better soon. What a beautiful shower. And what fun you have to look forward to.
Our 11-day old granddaughter was here this afternoon to see her Grandpa and Nana for Father's Day. Such a tiny bit of a thing. One forgets how fragile they appear.

What a lovely mosaic. How thrilling with the first grandchild. Yes, I understand, it can be very hard for your DiL when it is hot outside.

What a sweet mosaic and baby shower theme! You must be so excited for the arrival of your first grandchild. We are expecting our second grand at the end of July. I can't wait to find out what they are having as they have a boy now. Hot weather is not pleasant for expectant mum's in their last month. Enjoy the day. Pamela

What an exciting time for your family. I am really envious. Four children and no grandchildren! Where did we go wrong???

You are going to adore being a grandparent! I have 4 little ones in my extended family now.... boy 4, boy 3, and boy/girl twins 10 months. it's so wonderful to watch them change day by day, week by week. And they are all so much fun. I am truly blessed! And you will be too.

It is a bit of a miserable time to be pregnant. My son was born in October and I can remember feeling as big as a house in the heat of summer. Best wishes to the Mom-to-be and her baby.

I feel sorry for any expectant mother in this heat!

This mosaic is great as it tells a story.

So excited for you, Jen! I can't wait for the news. And I can well imagine that the heat would not be very comfortable. Darling photos!
