Decisions, Decisions!!!

My middle son has finally moved his bedroom stuff to his own house and I have been slowly making the room mine. I have painted the trim white, the walls a pale grey, added a rocking chair (the same rocker I used when my sons were babies) for reading or knitting and my sewing.

After auditioning several drapes I have found a style I like just not the colour.
The decision is between a pale grey-green or a dark grey.

What would you choose???

I am joining Mary at Little Red House for

Have a wonderful week!!!

Having an extra room is nice, I like the grey walls with the white trim. I am no help, I like both colors for the curtains, it is a hard decision. I wish you a happy week ahead.

i like the grey green, think it will pick up on the green blanket in your rocker. Bet that blanket has had a history with you . Always mixed feelings at first when you start getting those rooms back. Later, you could not give that room up, but at first, some bittersweet feelings.

I found it hard to pick. Need to know the colour of the wall better. It was hard to tell. I see your dillema. Valerie

I like the lighter town of grey best but both would work! You could do one tone on the top half and the other tone below...that would look great! Enjoy your week!

I just painted our son's old room gray as well. And put up gray valences at the windows. I vote for the lighter gray to let in more light.

I just posted a comment but I don't think it went. I vote for the lighter gray--might let in more light. I just painted our son's old room the same color! So pretty!

It is so lovely to finally have your own room don't you think. I love the color and I would choose dark greay for curtains. Good luck with the decisions.

I also like the light grey walls and white trim. Looking forward to seeing what you do with the room. I love seeing what others do to create "their special space" as I need to do something here.
Thanks for stopping by. Have a great week.

Whichever one you choose will be lovely... How nice to have a room for yourself where you can keep your projects and enjoy walking out and closing the door.

I like the light gray, but think that the darker gray will offer more contrast. Both, however, are lovely.

How lovely to get your own space!
I've taken over our single spare bedroom, it's a squeeze but I have my sewing machine, fabrics and other arty bits and bobs there - it's wonderful!

The walls of your room look like a soft grey - my feeling is the lighter grey for curtains, it will help to make the room feel bigger and lighter!

I've just become your newest follower after seeing you on Mosaic Monday and I hope you will pop over and visit me too.

I would choose the dark grey for the curtains. but it's sort of a toss up. Both would look fine. Thank you for stopping by.

They are both beautiful. It would be hard to choose, but I think I'd pick the lighter colour. That's my mood for the day, tomorrow the choice might change.

Nice to have your own little space and to make it yours. I really like the gray green, very lovely and it will give a bit of contrast, unlike the darker gray...I am thinking;')~

Isn't it satisfying to make a space in the house all ready for whatever takes your particular fancy? I vote for the dark grey!

Love what you've done with the room! I like the contrast of the dark grey..however the light would give the room a monocramatic look.

Hi Jen,

I know you haven't decided yet, so I will cast my vote for the lighter color. I think you'll be happier in the winter – at least I always think of these things. :)

And congrats on having a studio of your own!

hugs,
