First Sunday of Advent

Today is the first Sunday in Advent, a time for me stop and remember that the holiday season is about Jesus' birthday. This year I have a very special grandson to help me remember.

I hope this first Sunday is also special for you.

Little ones in the family make one look differently at a lot of things. How wonderful! We have a 6 month old in the family who will enjoy her first Christmas this year. And a 2 year old who is just beginning to understand. She loves being read the Christmas story - the animals particularly enthrall her.
Enjoy the season!

Oh, he's a love. I feel the same way. My new Grandson is just three months old. I feel like everyday is Christmas. When my girls were little, we always had a Birthday cake for Jesus on Christmas day.

Have a lovely night. Your photos are wonderful.

He sure is precious, and I agree with you, we should focus on the birth of our Lord, rather than on material things, which we are all so used to now..
