Inspiration

This week Bonnie from Pixel Dust Photo Art gave us the option to showcase a piece of photo art that features a word that we have chosen to guide or inspire us for the year. I have been choosing inspirational words for many years; Forgiveness, Acceptance, Peace, Humble.

But something I find myself constantly doing every year is spreading myself too thin ... juggling too many balls at once ... getting involved in too many events.  So this year my inspirational word is,

The dictionary quotes 'Boundary' as - That which marks a limit; a limit.
My goal this year is set boundaries for myself,
to know when enough is enough ... I have reached my limit
and step back and just Be.

I am joining Bonnie at Pixel Dust Photo Art

you created a beautiful boundary. I hope you will not climb over it. :)

Beautiful artwork and a great word too. I know what you mean as I have just started to learn (and stick to) my limits.

Good plan. I have not picked a word for this year - though several are spinning about in my head. Once my back is healed from the surgery I will be better able to tell the direction that I need to go this year.

That is a great inspirational word! I hope your year does justice to it, without guilt.

It's so easy to step over the the boundry and find yourself lost. Your photo speaks volumes to all of us. I really love the image you used to say such a simple thing.

you spread yourself too thin and I too waywardly so we have both opted for some kind of boundary. Love the open feeling of your photoart and the fact that your boundary word is gently restraining in a curve

This is fabulous and a word I could have chosen for myself. I love the picture you choose to showcase your word. Happy New Year.

What a good word choice...I think so many people struggle with this these days. I've finally learned that it's important to sometimes just say "no". I love how you portrayed the word in your image...lovely processing!

Very wisely! It's not healthy to do too much - we also need some rest.

Great word, sometimes it's hard to set boundaries but they can be necessary to our well be. May you have success in finding yours.
Beautiful photo art. This reminds me of scenes you see in Ireland. Where was it taken?

Great photo to represent your word. I've never chosen a word before, but it sounds like a great idea.

You have really explored the possibilities of photography through the year and the creative way of displaying your word for the year says it all. when yo have the time and inclination - don't limit yourself but when you know it's time to choose wisely ...do!

It's good to know where you draw the line. In my professional life I give workshops on boundaries for people who work with vulnerable populations. Many times I have to remind myself to heed my own words!

You may remember my word is curves, and you mentioned on my blog that you like curves much more than rigid lines. I love curves too- they intrigue me - so I love how your word cradles the stone fence in a gentle curve. I think that is the blessing of of the curve. It allows us to be gentle with ourselves as we work toward our goals. A really lovely image. xo teri
