I told myself I would not think of spring flowers and warm sunny days,
I would embrace the last of winter and all it had to offer.
But the temptation was to great, especially after attending a gardening show
at the Toronto Botanical Gardens in Toronto.
Outside the snow covered gardens slept while inside spring had
arrived...tulips, geraniums, daffodils, hellebores and
inspiring speakers all welcoming spring's arrival.
'March bustles in on windy feet and sweeps
my doorstep and my street.
she washes and cleans with pounding rains,
scrubbing the earth of winter stains.
She shakes the grime from carpet green
till naught but fresh new blades are seen.
Then, house in order, all neat as a pin,
she ushers gentle springtime in.'

I wish I could see a little more for the flower in the top left corner. I love the focus on the little hedgehog stick creature...it's like he's poking his little head out for a peek.
I'm still trying to be patient for spring; it's getting a little bit trickier, now that March has arrived. Your mosaic is beautiful!
Pretty flowers and cute critter poking its nose out. It almost looks like a teasel head.

Great shots! bet you were so happy that you went to this botanical garden event! Lovely colors. I went this weekend to the botanical garden and the flowers were just gorgeous, but outside. Much warmer here in Texas!
It's hard to embrace winter when gardening shows and magazines are popping up all over. We're fortunate to see some buds in the yard now, but I guess you have a while to wait. Lovely photos from the garden show. Have a good week.
I really enjoyed the poem and had not read it before! Thanks for sharing the lovely candid pics, too. Happy March~

Lovely mosaic of excellent photography ~ love the little critter ~ great post ^_^
Hedgehog made of some natural materials...very cute! Yes, the urge to rush into spring is very strong. While March is still cleaning up outside, I'll bide on the inside as mud season is one of my least favorites.
Your little hedgehog is so cute..so full of whimsy.
Thank you for stopping by and for your kind comment.
Have a great week, my friend.
Blessings,

I just have to remind myself of how hot last summer was and how we had drought etc and then I settle back down about spring for awhile ( a wee while at least : )
Smiled at your hedgehog! Here we are at the end of summer - and I'm not looking forward to winter not that we get snow - Loved your snowman!
Love Leanne
Lucky you to have gotten to a garden show! Neat photos!
This is beautiful, Jen.
Somehow, I just cannot stop thinking about spring flowers and warm sunny day. Hopefully soon.
Happy day to you!
Our garden show is going on right now too. Sometimes we need that breath of spring to get us through the last of winter. We have more winter coming in tonight - another big storm :(

I would enjoy walking around a gardening show but I know what you mean - it's sometimes better to bloom where you're planted but that's tough to do when you have been exposed to such lovely things as you have in today's mosaic. we just have to be patient and keep smiling!
It's that time when we are dreaming of spring, colour, scents ans sunshine! Love your collection of hopeful images here :)
I enjoyed the Northwest Garden Show in Seattle last month - it was a bit of a jump-start to spring for me. Just the smell of the hyacinths was enough to get me through another rainy week.
Oh I'm sure it was a wonderful feast for the eyes seeing all those spring blooms.
