Mosaic Monday - The Garden Today

It has been very hot this week in southern Ontario, more like July weather then late May. The grass has gone dormant and the spring flowers do not know what to make of the temperatures and the summer flowers are not large enough to showcase their lovely blooms.
Hubby and I spent most of the day planting the veggi garden with tomatoe seedlings and sowing the seeds of carrots, beans, swiss chard and squash.  The lettuce, radish and peas are having a tough time with the heat.
My mosaic shows what was happening today in the garden.
Join Mary, our host, at Little Red House to view some fantastic mosaics.

I hope everyone has a wonderful week.

Lovely mosaic of your garden. I know all about heat. UGH. Your garden looks lovely and I adore your little fairy. Hobby Lobby is having a sale on garden decorations and I think I'm going to go have a look!

Great Mosaic Jen..I thought it would be cooler up your way. It's muggy here. Sounds like you did a lot of work.
Take care.

It has been really hot lately. The garden needs a steady stream of water to keep everything going. Maybe this week we will get a sprinkle. Valerie

Your plants still look healthy even if your grass is toast Jen.

I am liking your garden as well as your mosaic! My daughter lives in up-sate NY and we live in southern NJ. Last week her weather was far warmer than ours. Actually this past winter we had colder temps and more snow. Crazy weather.

It's still too cold here to plant any seeds in the damp, clammy ground.
I spoke to the kids in Kingston today and they told me that they are wilting in the heat - couldn't we share?

Wonderful pictures - wish we had some of that warm weather - we are rainy and very chilly here in NW WA - we want our warm weather back - pleeeeease.

Such a nice garden. Here, the slugs would eat all the tender little shoots.

How cool & refreshing your mosaic looks, Jen! Its been unusually warm here in OH, too.
I planted about 16-20 tomato plants as well as some green peppers & eggplants this past week. Whew! Now we both get to sit back & wait for the harvest of all our hard work. :-)

Sweet mosaic and I love your header too.
Weather---grr---you are too hot and we are too wet. Constant rain for days and everything is soggy. I need to plant my containers but I don't want to stand in the rain. And our temps are at least 10 degrees lower than the norm. Oops I raged on you--sorry but as one gardener to another i hope you understand. MB

Oh-oh. All the heat in Ontario usually makes a beeline for us. :D

It's a little early for such heat when the little guys are so new.

Have you been getting any of the smoke from Quebec's fires? We've had two days of it. Yesterday was very hazy with smoke and today we can faintly smell it.

How green is your garden! My favorite in the veggie garden are the tomatoes, so sweet!

Maybe the fairy can turn her pixie dust to cooler air!

We are in our high 80's here too and its hot in SoCal.
