Friday's Finding Beauty

Do you remember the story about the Ugly Duckling.  In the story the ugly duckling cannot understand why he is not small and cute like all his brothers and sisters.

He is quite large and gangly.

But he grows into this very majestic swan.

But he never realizes this until he looks at his reflection in the pond.

I am joining Claudia at Dipity Road for Finding Beauty.
Join the fun and see where others find beauty.

I do remember liking that delightful tale as a child. I think that little baby swan is one of the sweetest things I've ever seen!

I loved all the HC Andersen stories - perhaps one of the reasons I was so happy to fall in love with The Great Dane was his family in Odense, Andersen's long-ago home. I'm sure that there are many ugly ducklings who took comfort and hope from that story. Your images are beatutiful.

This story was always one of my favorites growing up and certainly one I wanted to instill in my kids.

Everyone has their ugly duckling moments -- and everyone also has their swan moments... it's just that some never see the change.

Thanks soooo much for being such a inspiration.

Have the best weekend.

I think the little one is cute too, but the mature one is definitely handsome. Great pictures.
