A Pink Quilt

While staying in Northern Ireland hubby and I rented what is called a 'Self-catering' cottage.
All the beds in the cottage had a quilt, but one had this lovely pink quilt.

I have never made a pink quilt, but after seeing this one I went through my stash looking for fabric.
And no pink to be found, anywhere, a problem easily fixed with a trip to my favorite quilt store.
The creative wheels are turning, I will keep you posted on my progress.

I've always wanted to start quilting but it seems like such a daunting task with two little ones! Maybe once they're older.

What a beautiful quilt! I commend you for having the patience to actually think about sewing one! Now if I could make one with my glue gun, that would be a different story!
Have a happy Pink Saturday!

Happy Pink Saturday Sweetie...
What a beautiful share. I love quilts. I have never made one, but I am so good at buying them. My DH says we will never be cold. Living in Phoenix, we laugh about it.

The fabrics and the design in this one are so beautiful. I love the use of the triangles and the way it has a center square. Just beautiful.

Thank you for sharing. Have a beautiful Pink Saturday and a safe 4th of July.
Country hugs sweetie...Sherry

That is so exciting! I did that once with a slip cover for a chair.
Never made one before, and just
did it from instructions from the
library. It didn't come out perfect, but I loved it nonetheless! I am sure your quilt
will be beautiful!

Love your blog!

Welcome to Pink Saturday!

This is my first visit to your blog. I'm trying to take up Beverly's challenge to visit blogs that we've never been to before on Pink Saturday.

Anyhow...what an exquisite quilt. I will look forward to seeing the progression once you get started.

hmmmm a trip to Ireland sounds fabulous. That is quite a quilt. Mom was a quilter. She quit at some point - totally quit quilting, quit sewing, guit the whole shebang. But I grew up surrounded by fabric and my fingers itch just looking at that quilt...
Happy Pink Saturday to you!

Hi Ms garden,
Thanks for stopping by and visiting my blog- I always enjoying meeting quilters from other parts of Canada.
I do love your pink quilt- Pink is one of my very favorite colors - in fact our living room walls are pink- though they are in serious need of fresh paint.
I will look forward to seeing your version of this quilt. One always enjoys a trip to the LQS. Your hunter star on the right side is truly stunning- it is a pattern that I have admired for many years. Perhaps some day....The list continues to grow LOL
Regards,
Anna

Jen, this is a very belated welcome to your first Pink Saturday. I had a minor surgery on my foot July 3, and I haven't felt much like spending time on the computer.

The pink quilt is lovely, and what a welcoming touch it must have been.

I'll be anxious to see your project in the works.
