What's Blooming in the Garden

It has been unseasonably warm this week. The temperature on average was 24 degrees, our normal high should be 6 degrees and with these highs the plants have been rushing to make an appearance.

The Iris reticulate seemed to bloom over night.

These Winter aconite should still be blooming along with...

the crocus', but with the temperatures so warm they have just about finished.
Most of the perennials have made an appearance. This is a baby leaf of Lady's Mantle with morning dew.

The weather forecast has said cooler temperatures for next week, maybe the plants will slow down.
And the fall bloomers with flower in fall and not summer.
I am joining Tootsie Time for Fertilizer Friday.

Have a wonderful weekend!!

I'm so glad you are also enjoying an early spring, isn't it wonderful? Those early iris are a real favorite of mine. But we had so much heat that they were here and gone in no time flat. I must plant more this fall!
