A Walk In The Garden

Good Morning, It is a gorgeous day today.
Sunny and warm, 23 C or 72 F, lets' take a walk around the garden.

The Bleeding Heart (Dicentra) are still blooming.

The mid size iris are blooming, this a new one I bought last year at a local plant sale.
I do not know the name, the tag just said pale blue.
The tall bearded iris will be in flower in a few days.

This bronze coloured beauty grows just outside the side garage door.
I dug up four different iris from my Dad's last spring and
cannot wait to see what colours they going to be, they are just coming into bud.

I have six large Norway Maple in the front yard and have underplanted them with
Phlox stolonifera (pictured above) and Geranium macrorrhizum.
The geranium suffered without the insulating snow
cover so they will be late flowering.

The Japanese Painted Fern (Athyrium nicponicum 'Picton') are starting to unfurl their handsome
metallic-grey and red fronds.

Oops looks like hubby missed a dandelion.

Thank you for visiting and
have a wonderful weekend.

Your photos are so very lovely, capturing all of the fine details, so nice. - I smiled reading that you dug up some treasures from your Dad's place, to enjoy for years to fun to see what colors they will be.

Have a happy weekend! xo

Bleeding hearts are SO beautiful, and you are quite the photographer. Such smooth, crisp delicate captures. But your hearts have my heart. Lovely.
