As winter settles in the sunlight hours shorten
and darkness plays a large role in the day.
We receive a total of nine hours of light.
It can be a depressing time for many, but
this year I am going to celebrate.
I am going to snuggle into my nest and
read, quilt, knit and nap.
Once December 21 arrives,
the longest day of darkness in the year,
the light slowly returns.
The garden awaits and I will wait with it...
snuggled in my nest.
